Writing a bio for FlurbCo Hiring Manager Sally Carnivora is a daunting task. More than just listing her many accomplishments, the difficulty lies in the fact that so little is really known about her. She has almost no online presence and seems to have lived a life with no paper trail at all. A full afternoon of web searching turned up nothing of interest, and an evening rummaging around in her trash bins yielded only a handful of convenience store receipts. She enjoys strawberry licorice, apparently.
She seems to have popped out of nowhere a few years ago with nothing more than the Anne Taylor suit on her back, an encyclopedic knowledge of HR matters and an unmistakable facial tic. She is known around the office as a hard-working associate with a remarkably pleasant handshake. This is because her hands, more specifically her fingertips, are as smooth as glass. Sally, as it happens, has no fingerprints. When asked about it, she will brush it off as the result of a childhood accident, but those who work closely with her are convinced that this lack of fingerprints is intentional- as if they had been surgically removed or burned off with sulfuric acid. Sally Carnivora, some associates whisper, is hiding from something. It's enough to make someone wonder if she had entered the federal witness protection program.
"Witness protection?" she replies, chuckling amiably. "It's so funny that you would suggest that. I mean, someone like me having to flee from a shadowy crime syndicate to which I had once belonged, slowly climbing my way to the top until one day, out of options and soaked in the blood of my confederates, I was forced to turn state's evidence and go into hiding? Me? Imagine! It's so funny."
